Imagining the future of London’s retrofit with residents

In collaboration with the GLA and LRaPP, RAFT were invited to facilitate a full day’s event, focused on community retrofit and future policy

The event invited Londoners’ to come together to discuss ideas around housing, energy, community and climate. RAFT ran a series of talks and workshops throughout the day, encouraging open conversation and knowledge sharing around retrofit

Collaboration workshop held by RAFT and the London Research Policy Partnership, bringing together residents to hear their voices on the topic of retrofit. The photograph shows a room filled with people sitting at round tables, discussing issues.

The workshop focussed on ensuring Londoners’ voices are at the heart of proposed plans, activities and solutions for retrofit. Together, we collectively imagined ideal futures to tackle the retrofit challenge in London

There is so much to be learned by hearing from such a wide range of residents, who all have a different relationship to retrofit and unique experiences to contribute to future thinking and discussions.

Photograph from the workshop. Sitting around a round table are London residents discussing retrofit and possible solutions relevant to them. On the table, there are notepads, paper and pens.
